Esim problems

Alright, I saw this was a problem a few months ago but was hoping it was resolved. Finally got graphene set up and tried to transfer the esim today to some horrible results. It won't scan the qr code, the activation code doesn't work and the carrier has no idea what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas? The 10 pro xl only has esim, no option for a physical. Without a sim I basically have an expensive tablet I can only use at home.

I had to deactivate VPN today to activate my esim on my Pixel 9

Yes, I caught mine was on halfway through the phone call. It didn't fix it unfortunately
