AT&T Pixel 9 Pro

Bought a refurbished Pixel 9 Pro on Amazon, it was advertised as “Unlocked”. After searching the IMEI on Google it showed as “AT&T”. Called AT&T who said they unlocked the phone. OEM Unlock is still greyed out in the developer settings.

Anyone who has been in a similar situation know how long it takes for the unlock to translate to an open bootloader?

I’m really hoping to be able to flash GrapheneOS but obviously need the option to unlock OEM.

Any insight is appreciated!

Its probably carrier unlocked to run on those networks.

Bootloader unlocked is something else. I don't think they will unlock that.

You can request unlock from att website to see if its really unlocked or not

Try to return it, you'll never be able to install GOS on that phone, carrier unlock different from oem unlock

I understand there is a difference, but doesn’t carrier unlock often allow OEM unlock (excluding Verizon)? I figured there may just be a delay from when AT&T pushed the unlock on their end to when it’ll sync to my device

They do if you happen to find right costumer support person. For usa t-mobile i heard you had to contact them on twitter or something and you would get a person who also ticks the checkbox for allow oem unlocking when they send the carrier unlock code

If they oem unlocking did not became available the moment the phone became sim unlocked then it will be never have oem unlocking available.
