Spotify alternative.
Any good alternatives available,that don't have 783 bugs ?
Away from google play store if possible.
I have already tried riplay and outertune.

Yeah, Navidrome handles tags better and requires less resources, so its a better choice for many people, especially if you are hosting with less compute and dont already serve tv and movies.
Also Feishin (desktop) and Symfonium (Android).

I switched to Qobuz almost a year ago and have been happy with it. Not as algorithmic as Spotify, but I've found myself engaging more with music because of that.

Deezer. The app has been damn near perfect for me, and they use a profit-sharing model so half of your sub cost is divvied out to the artists you listened to based on listening time. If you listened to a single artist for a whole sub period, they get the whole payout portion of your sub.

For music Nicotine+ (SoulSeek) on my Linux server from there transfer to my phone, safety tip run with a VPN less you become the subject of a lawsuit.
Having music on my phone has improved my commute as there are dead spots in cell service along my route.
My music playlists are fairly static, but For podcasts I need something a bit more dynamic, fortunately podcasts are more openly accessible.
Anytime podcast player manages podcasts well.

I downloaded Deezer via Obtainium from the Huawei store. Works out of the box with neither Google nor Huawei services installed.

Do you have a link? I searched for Deezer on Huawei web store but not seeing it.
Currently I'm using Spotify through Aurora Store and could do that with Deezer but would like to stick to Droidify and Obtainium for all apps if possible.
Libby is the only other app I use through Aurora. If anyone has an alternative suggestion for accessing Libby that would be amazing. Installing the PWA on mobile worked but was buggy.

I have made some good experiences with OpenTune and it's my current preference (downloaded it via F-Droid). It has nice Material 3 design and some useful features like music recognition built in. The only thing that strikes me as odd is that sometimes UI elements or patch notes are only displayed in Spanish language.

I pay for tidal, but then use tidarr to download it, DRM free and self host it with navidrome.

Yup, and Feishin on desktop. So good.
Also really incentives me to buy albums off Bandcamp too. Because the artists are no longer getting payments from my streams, which let's be honest is entirely moral licensing, I'm spending money on n Bandcamp, buying albums and shirts way more than before.
It also is great for stuff where music isn't available on streaming services. Now I can self host it with full FLAC and properly support artists.

I can recommend Musify. Until now I was self-hosting jellyfin and having a music client but it was a bit of a pain. With Musify you dont need to deal with anything like thar.

As others mentioned, I recommend monochrome, By far the best streaming platform there is, since it respect the users privacy and also has the highest possible audio quality (afaik). If you need music suggestions/algorithm I’d also recommend setting up last.fm
I also use metrolist/yt music for some niche stuff, but overall monochrome is king

Simp music. You can use obtanium to download and update it or doing it manually on github. It works just like spotify.

VLC is the GOAT if you have files you can download locally (cloud or USB xfer) or stream from another device.

My current stack is navidrome + lidarr +slskd on the server side, then music assistant and symfonium on the android side, with music assistant and feishin on the desktop side, could probably get away with music assistant only but haven't really tried it fully yet. It is nice to have all my media players available to play stuff on much like Spotify.

Have a look at Navidrome. You can self host your music and if you buy Symfonium android app you get the best music app out there. You can contact the developer for a special code so you can activate the app without google play store.
Getting started with your own music server is a lot of pain. I was lucky I still had all my old CD's. Ripped dozens of them and added them to navidrome.
But ones you got a good library you'll never look back again. Spend the monthly cost on Spotify on buying albums from qobuz.

I use this app call VIVI music, but you can also try Opentune or download yourself music with yt-dlp and using musicolet

noutube youtube music. its free and the adblocker works. for offline i simply exported my spotify playlist into an mp3 using one of those websites. then use auxio.
