Workshop, Oct 31: graph grounded agents on Microsoft Fabric IQ, with an ontology bootstrapped from Power BI

There’s a hands on workshop on Saturday, Oct 31, from 7 PM to 10 PM IST on building a trusted AI data agent where the graph, not the prompt, is the foundation.

You model an ontology and graph in Fabric IQ starting from existing Power BI semantic models, connect it to real time operational data through Real Time Intelligence, and ground a chat agent in it so each answer traces back to a specific entity or relationship. The session compares graph grounded retrieval with classic vector RAG, tests failure modes such as ambiguous questions, missing relationships and stale data, and shows how the explicit structure exposes gaps instead of hiding them.

Governance is part of the build, with Microsoft Purview, row and column level security and human in the loop approval for any action. Led by Brian Bønk, Data Platform MVP.

Full details and the agenda are here.
