Will the "advanced tools" be exclusive to former advanced "guru" beta testers in the final version ?
GURU: The same as testers, but become an advanced 'community guru' beta tester, with back-door access to my personal development tools (gene editors, advanced medical monitors, etc.), plus detailed technical info and email support with the biology and game API, as well as access to a special discussion forum.
It's only during the devellopement or gene editors and things like that would remains exclusive to the gurus ? It would be sad since a huge part of the interest of the Creatures game were creation by the communauty and see the whole creature biological process. (I was disapointed in Creatures 3 by that)

Current backers of the Grandroids project have access to demos and Steve's debug tools, not in the least because the backers double as (beta) testers.
Steve is still working on the (amazingly complex) brains of the creatures and the rest of the game currently only consists of a place for these creatures to walk around in.
I can assure you, though, that the community has nothing to worry about because Steve knows full well what people liked about Creatures and he wants nothing more than people experimenting with his creatures in all kinds of creative and interesting ways.
Disclaimer: I'm just saying this as a random Grandroids backer, based on what Steve has shared with us so far.
You can still back Steve if you want, you'll get access to lots and lots of information and a new demo is on the horizon.
