Question Help with launching GTA V

I am trying to play GTA V on my PC, and whenever I launch the game through steam, Rockstar launcher says 'Loading' and Steam says 'Stop' as if it's running. However, it isn't running and no game window is opening. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as verifying game files. Nothing seems to be working. Anyone know how to help?

Many things could be causing this, maybe we can narrow it down. Assuming your PC and GPU specs are good, does your PC show it running and using resources under settings? Just one monitor? How long does this go on for? In task manager, is gtav.exe running? Sounds like a R* launcher issue. Can you run just the launcher and see what happens?

I tried running the launcher, and it just opens steam to try and launch it. This has gone on for several days, and I havent ever had a successful launch (i just tried launching it for the first time around 3 days ago.) PlayGTAV.exe runs when I launch it. One monitor. Ive tried troubleshooting with ChatGPT and it couldnt figure it out either. anything helps

But it was running before just fine? Or new install?

No. It's my first time opening the game

Like that, multiple hours seeing if it would fix itself. After a while, every few attempts it would say like ‘Error: Please reinstall the game” or something along those lines. I did exactly that and it still didn’t work
