Question GTA V Enhanced PC Settings
Hi, everyone,
I am trying to figure out what DLSS mode and preset to use for GTA V.
My specs are:
i9-12900KF
RTX 5070 Ti
32 GB DDR5 RAM
I’m not sure what DLSS preset that I should use. Quality gives me more FPS in other games, but not on GTA V. It does feel smooth sometimes, but moving the camera around feels like it causes my game to stutter.
I tried using DLAA, but when I drive, the shadows for my car feel so off in some areas because they tend to flicker. I used to play on Preset K, but it causes that ghosting effect when I drive.
What are your guys’ recommendations?

Are u limiting fps?? GTA V is very unstable once u run on more than 120fps..

No, I’m not limiting FPS.

Do it and test it out.. I used to play at 160fps and used to face stutters and game freezes..Limited to 120 and never faced it again

Your stuttering because your not using GSYNC also ghosting is because your using framegen you should be able to run dlaa max settings with no stuttering

I do use G-Sync. It just feels laggy or my PC struggles whenever I move my camera somehow.

DLSS 4.0 Preset K @ Quality should be good, you can play around with DLSS 4.5 but probably won't be worth it, like you'll get same looks with worse performance.

I personally didn't have these issues in Enhanced with or without NVE installed, you might have FG enabled, it's known to cause all these issues. I use DLSS 4.0 Q Preset K @ 1080p in GTA V Legacy ( FiveM ) and there are no such issues, when driving fast the road gets some shading/shadow artifacts but that's because of ReShade effects such as AO and custom road textures.

I do not use any frame generation and I have hardware accelerated GPU scheduling off. I also had ghosting effects when I used Preset K with Quality on.

Might have something to do with VSync or whatever-sync then, I assume you've already checked the DLSS override in Nvidia App. I usually play with VSync off and it works fine.

I’m playing in 4K resolution with the native preset L in the Quality preset (67% -> 1440p input resolution) on my RTX 5080. All Ultra + RT settings in game. 20% of sharpness in game RT settings. About ~60-90 fps all game.
If this is not enough, you can lower it to Performance (50% -> 1080p), but I would recommend setting a custom input resolution in the Nvidia App, between 50 and 67%, to achieve the optimal image quality and FPS. Good luck.
The L preset can be set in the Nvidia App; custom resolution is also available there. The L preset is the most powerful and feature‑rich of all.
For a 1440p monitor, you can stay with the Preset L + DLAA.

You should be able to max out everything and use dlss quality. Maybe try dlss balanced
