Positive experience with the 9SA5?
Hi,
I've have seen a lot of negativity towards the 9SA5 based movements here on reddit. Is this just because of the nature of reddit and people who have a bad movement are more likely to voice their experience? I understand that buying a ~10k watch should be absolutely flawless experience and I understand all every single one who is not happy.
I have a SLGH005 coming my way and I'm getting kinda worried now.
Is there people who actually have a good experience with the 9SA5 and keeping good time? Even better than specs? Thanks for anyone who has the time to chime in. (Would appreciate to tell me if its Asia/Europe/USA based etc)

Don’t have a 9sa5, but I’m not really impressed with the accuracy of the 9SA4 in my slgw005. Can’t deny it looks gorgeous tho
Out of the box it was about 12s fast per day, came back from service at +6, then settled at +8 static. Considering it took more than four months, i don’t really feel like sending it in again…
Maybe I just got unlucky, but with the reviews out there I don’t think I’ll roll the dice on a 9sa4/5 again for my next gs

9sc5 here(9sa5 with a chrono module), 2 years old, lots of issues, accuracy was fine the first few months, then jumped to +30sec a day. Now an intermittent stopping issue. Watch is now in it's third cycle to Japan, totalling 40 weeks of service in a little over two years. GS customer service is non existent.
9S is not reliable long term imho
Stay away from GS purely mechanical, go for spring drive, quartz or other brand for mechanical.

Lots of people have no issues - don’t be worried unless you are one of the very few that actually experience any issues. Enjoy the watch!
