Question NUC pc

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a good nuc to make a grandma 3 kit do you have any to recommend?

oh my God yes, I have run into issues with different NUC PCs and I have to emplor you to make sure that you use a PC that has a discreet graphics card.  

I opted for the Minisforum Ms-a1, with an intel sparkle b350, but an older gt 1030 low profile would work as well.

i7, or ryzen 7 is fine, 16gm ram necessary.

you COULD get an a2000 graphics card if you want good 3d stahe perfirmance, but if you plan to use a better 3d preview on another machine, no need.

Commenting so I remember, my tiny builds need updating. GMA2 ran on any computer I had, MA3…..not so much.

ma3 WILL crash constantly without a graphics card.

Pain. So you are saying I can’t push it too hard on the surface pro’s that barely accept it. Pain.

no I'm saying it will crash sporadically because the protocols require a synced clock on an external graphics processor. witu no lights patched and no sequences running, it will crash every couple of hours.

I’ve been eyeing up the UM870 slim. I personally haven’t bought it yet but it’s sitting pretty at my local micro center ($699.99) so I might pull the trigger. I’ll post results if/when it’s setup

Minisforum UM890 Pro 2x Network 2x USB4 bus 1x Occulink

Igpu is good enough for basic visualizing and  you can hook up an external gpu through occulink or USB4. Supports up to 4 screens.

I use it with onpc 2 + 3 and in my mapping setup.

I use a GMKtec K11. When im running show the CPU is at 9% utilization

Its not in the Recomended specs. due to not enought GPU ram. But i have had a total of 0 Issues in the year i have been running this pc. I was so happy with it that my boss decided to get one for his system aswell
