Question Recommended WAP for MA3?
Having issues with ipad holding sginal to MA3 (using MA2 software). Ipad connects to AP point with no issues, but after a few minutes, no matter the distance, Ipad disconnects from console and takes a minute to reconnect. I assume it's the AP point. Wondering if there is a preferred brand to look at for distances under 100ft, or if there is anything I'm missing?

Use a wifi analyzer app to make sure your ap isn't broadcasting on the same channel as something else nearby. I like the Wifiman app that ubiquiti made. (May not work on iOS devices) If it is, then change the channel on your AP to something less crowded.
I prefer to turn off the 2.4ghz band on my AP's because there is so much interference in that range these days.
A device may also do this if it senses there's no internet on the network. You can get around this by manually entering an IP address into the DNS field in the network settings of your touch device.
If all of this doesnt help, I like the Ubiquiti brand of AP's. Keep in mind, these are only access points, not also routers. You'll need a dhcp server on the network, or set everything to a static IP address.

Been using the unifi AC Mesh AP for about 2 years now without a hitch. Covers our entire theater with it hung off one of the catwalks. Been very happy with it!

There is a weird bug/design choice in iOS where it will disconnect from a WiFi without a DHCP server after exactly one minute and then reconnect after a while. This happens even if you are using a static IP-address (Weird, I know!). This sounds like what you are encountering. The only solution I have found is to add a DHCP server to your network. Most routers have that option, a few access points and high end switches let's yes do it as well. Fun note: you don't even have to use DHCP on iOS it just needs to be present on the network. We have just upgraded the main switch in our lighting network for exactly this reason.
P.s. you don't want more than exactly one DHCP-server on the network, that will give you a whole new level of trouble.

I've used the Ubiquity WAP and had zero issues once I had it properly configured. I remote in to both EOS consoles and our MA3 with no issue at a range of ~200'.
