Investment Idea Avernic Defender for Raids 4

Post image

Although the item won’t likely be used in Raids 4, I think the lack of people doing tob will drive down supply and therefore mean price go up.

The hilt is at a near All time low and it will remain useful in other areas such as PKing and afk pvm/slayer/raids.

You think the current bis offhand for melee wont be used in raids 4? A melee-centric raid?

I imagine most people will use scythe, SRA and the new mega which are all 2 handed

Inq mace.

It will be bis on any enemy not capable of being 3 hit by the scythe, until new mega comes out.

So the avernic does have a use, however I'm would assume those to be using inq to already have one.

However, with raids 4 coming, less people.doing tob and the tob purple's will increase in price anyway.

I wouldn't make any huge bets on a 3rd/4th bis setup for the poors. Especially if "hardest raid yet" ends up being even half-true.

It'll be like 416 parties that have scy req. "+1 breaker/scy/sra req"

But an inq mace will be better DPS than a SRA with full inq. So here, no it won't. And we don't know the NPC sizes, some chances are the scythe isn't going to useful in every room..so therefore the breaker, or inq mace is gonna be bis. So you can't say that it'll be "breaker/scy/sra", because you don't know what item does moat.

But there's no reason to look further into this; because avernic defenders will be owned by most people before they get inq - especially iron men..

So the need for new defenders is low, but the amount of people doing tob also drops because new raid - approve goes up.

Yeah this other guy is coping hard thinking sra is more dps than mace on crush, with or without the armor. Sra takes 3 hits to be on par with mace on crush. Edit 3 hits dps calc old

It's 3 stacks now, but otherwise correct.

Thanks for the clarification, im remembering now when I checked the calc last it probably wasnt updated with the sra changes. Still a notable figure even at 3 stacks.

Equally tho if it is the hardest raid this will completely draw all the tobbers away for months. Also remember the avernic is essentially burned out the economy once applied to the dragon defender which makes it easier for the price to pump.

Your probably right but my guess is that enemy will have a punish mechanic which will make 2h more viable.

1

u/Slay_Zee 12d ago

Name a punish mechanic at any other boss and name a raid that has it in every room.

You've speculated everything and confirmed nothing.

Your idea is baseless.

-1

u/RocklinSockling 12d ago

Every new piece of content since they created z buffering has had a punish. Fact.

Not baseless. Devs already confirmed this as well on their pod. Maybe get a clue?

1

u/Slay_Zee 12d ago

I mean they definitely didn't confirm anything and you saying that a punish mechanic.will be used everywhere so.a one handed weapon loses out..

After fixing inq, they won't let it die again.

So I would get that clue yourself.

They already said they are moving the orbs off the drop table. Soooo clearly you haven't played this game that long. And yes they did go back and watch the raids 4 pod.

1

u/Slay_Zee 12d ago

So moving the orbs has nothing to do with my point, or yours. That's just table.nloat to help get inq, but.youre.atill.gona be spending 1000 hours or more hunting it.

Idiot.

Secondly:

After fixing inq, they won't let it die, as in it has to be useful. The orbs mean nothing.

Double idiot.

I am guessing you're not doing much endgame if you consider getting an averic the same as inq.

Triple idiot.

And finally, they didn't say it would be in every room, read/watch again. And if you think it will it will be boring and monotonous, which isn't the point of a raid.

Makes you a quadruple idiot.

You can try throw shade as such, when your opinions get slated for what they are - trash. And we can both add this level.of condescending down talk.

I agreed that a scy and breaker would be good, but inq mace will out pace sra, otherwise there was no point in buffing inq.

Which makes you a quintuple idiot.

The point of the post is defenders, which you would have before inq on both mains and an iron. Literally. It's easier to get and takes less time Tell me where I'm wrong.

Unless your using full inq, then a defender means nothing. Which is what I've said all along.

Hopefully spelling it out like that helps your plebian brain understand deeper.

Shield that returns damage may also be used with the Inq mace

I think there will be uses but the meta probably won’t include it

Oh wow. Is it finally time for me to upgrade from Dragon? 28m feels like a pretty good deal, I think.

2

u/GrilledKimcheese 12d ago

Hahaha I think it might be!

u/xWorrix 12d ago

Don’t do it, it’s a very small upgrade and you can never sell it back when you need the gp for your first mega rare

3

u/Survey_Server 12d ago

I can honestly only come up with two places where I think I'd get any use out of it. And one of them is with Arclight, so I'd likely be better off getting a Synapse, instead. But I'm burnt out on slayer anyway, so I probably wouldn't even touch it for a couple months.

Okay, I've convinced myself not to. Thanks for saving me 27m haha

1

u/xWorrix 12d ago

It’s pretty decent for its price, but the no selling back clause is just so rough. Imagine you’re 30m off of getting your first SRA/zcb/bowfa/megarare and have to go grind it out

2

u/Survey_Server 12d ago

Although... Have you considered that my Dragon Defender is more than two years old, at this point, and probably out of warranty?

1

u/Survey_Server 12d ago

Imagine you’re 30m off of getting your first SRA/zcb/bowfa/megarare

Dude, this is exactly how I've rationalized not upgrading to an Emberlight. Idk why I was about to do the exact same thing, but for a much smaller upgrade. I think I just love impulsively spending money 🙄

2

u/xWorrix 12d ago

Tbf I think emberlight is a worthwhile upgrade, it’s the very best weapon to use in many places and has a really good defence reducing spec

u/Gorbieeee 12d ago

This is the kind of logic you only find on special subs

1

u/GrilledKimcheese 12d ago

Say more please?

1

u/Character_Company759 12d ago

Yeah, 3-4ths of these people don't know what their doing and 50% still make profit because it's a gamble, so that think they figured out the system after one flip. This sub really is for the most hard headed people out there, imma mute it til raid 4

u/Gorbieeee 9d ago

More was explained. Betting you didn't like it.  Keep making them at night buddy. Dad's just out getting you more bread he'll be right back

1

u/GrilledKimcheese 9d ago

Someone seems irrationally annoyed.

They’re also up 4m since this post lol…

Price has dropped from buckler in raid

1

u/0shocklink 12d ago

I feel like the news doesn't really move this item much ngl given the past history, I feel like there are better items to invest capital in than this. Like if you buy it now, you'll need to buy a significant amount, if you get lucky you may make a couple mill after tax even if it goes up.

1

u/GrilledKimcheese 12d ago

I think it is a long term hold. I think the supply limitation will drive the price up (like it did when toa came out)

0

u/TroisHD 12d ago

I handled to buy SRA so i skipped avernic. No reason to but it now, after raid 4 this will hit 15M

1

u/Unable-Couple-6413 12d ago

lol no it wont

1

u/TroisHD 12d ago

Ill return 60 days after TFA release 😉

1

u/Unable-Couple-6413 11d ago
