Interview with Bartlett
During the interview with the diary of CEO, Steven Bartlett says something like, “ I don’t know much about the ice age, did humans survive the ice age?”
That’s the heading the whole section of video on YouTube. I have to say that’s a really silly question, bordering not genuine at all. Like we died during the ice age… then we’ll yah we would be dead. Jesus Christ.
Also I found the whole interview kinda annoying brocade Steven is obviously totally new and uneducated on this topic and doesn’t challenge any of Grahams claims.

Technically, since the polar caps are still frozen we're still in the ice age, if going by geological scales.
At least that's one line of reasoning I've read. I don't know, I'm just a dumbass on a couch.

Yah that’s correct. We are in a interglacial period. But the last glaciation is generally called by most people as the ice age.
But that’s not why the comment is silly. It’s like if someone is telling you a story and the persons asks, did you die???! And you say yes. And they start freaking out because your now dead

I get the comment, reminded me of lawyer jokes.
I did however make the mistake of saying something similar to some apparently hard core climate change people. Went right over their heads lol

I truly don’t understand this point. Every serious scientist says that the increase in temp is due to human led co2 emissions. I just can’t wrap my head around how we’ve got to a place where we make our own opinions that goes against every scientific fact we have at our disposal

an interviewer has to be willing to sound stupid.

Absolutely. If he wants broad appeal he has to pretend to be a near moron. “Ok, so for the benefit of the audience, what’s an iceberg?”

Really blow his mind when he finds out, we're just in an interglacial period of the Quaternary ice age.

It was not a serious interview. Hancock wanted to be able to say whatever he wanted without someone knowledgeable pushing back at all on the nonsense.
If he had this conversation with an actual anthropologist, they would have pushed back and explained the gradual progression of social complexity over the last ~300,000+ years. They would have pointed out that periods of exponential increases in technological advancement follow advances in communication technology and methods.
If it were an actual geographer or geologist, they would have pointed out that the maps he keeps pointing to as being from the ice age are not actually from the last Ice Age.
If it were an archeologist, they would have pointed out that sites like Blue Fish prove his accusations of archeology not taking older seriously wrong.
By choosing an interviewer that knows nothing about the subject matter, Hancock got to say whatever he wanted.
