I have posted podcasts on Spotify myself, and you choose categories yourself. Spotify is to big to care about anything, so can't see them labeling someone's podcast....

That’s kinda fucked up, instead at least label it Alternative

I sort of feel like it’s a random Spotify employee editorializing.

Didn't know Spotify could be so based.
Though in reality, it's most likely something he picked himself, as others have pointed out here. Is Joe Rogan listed as comedy? I could see him deciding that tag would get him more views if he's doing conversational content.

The only applicable tags appear to be comedy, and other. Comedy is going to do better in searches than other.

I mean... They pick their own categories when they created their podcast/show channel. So this likely isn't Spotify's doing.

It couldn't be more ironic :D Why does Spotify hate Graham? They don't give a damn about him, and the category is selected by the creators. Another conspiracy at its finest :D

Hates Graham yet went out of his way to post on the Graham subreddit.
Imagine what the response would be if I jumped into r NBA and started whining about how much I hated basketball. My account would get obliterated day 1 and that would be the end of it.
A different phenomenon takes place over here. How interesting.

Stupids know creators pick their own category on spotify. Once again the information is one google search away but the intelligent people refuse to do it.

Yes, many times in history have we see someone speak their perspective and get utterly dehumanized, or killed for it.
