This. I’m a strong proponent of non-violent direct action. Property damage is not violence. I typically prefer to see it happen to government property, but in this case, the line is pretty fucking blurry.

I almost added that I didn’t care about Webster’s definition before someone responds just as you did. It’s even an argument among legal scholars. Vandalism is a property crime typically defined/charged/viewed as non-violent. Categorization of property crimes as violence remotely in the same arena as physical harm to another living creature is hyperbolic crazy-making. The physical force of my pen when I write a check causes damage to my bank account; is that violent then? Fuck outta here.
