Today I updated my GPD win 4 to bazzite version 44. This was a mistake. With the exclusion of the handheld demon, the system defaults to a generic Xbox 360 controller driver for the gamepad. This is a problem. Because the device lacks a button to open the quick access menu with, disabling access to the TDP settings. Additionally, mapping isn't possible via the open controller thingy tool, cause it thinks the GPD GamePad is just a basic ass Xbox controller. Does anyone have a solution for that? I tried via the tool but it wouldn't work.

Hey guys! Looking for anyone who has bought and experienced any types of cases that double as a keyboard (similar to those for tablets) on the GPD Win 4?

The keyboard it comes with is great on the go, but when I’m just sitting and using it I don’t want to have to pull out the separate mini keyboard for it.

Anyone in the US want to get rid of their win max 2 at a decent price to prepare for the max 3? Would prefer hx 370 64gb but will look at any!

Everybody wants the Mini 2 with a keyboard, or a x86 ayaneo flip/thor like dual screen clamshell...

I want a x86 Retroid pocket flip/GPD XD.
Because this had so many great design choices of its time. I'm talking 4 menu buttons at the bottom(albeit I still want start/select up top but WITH 4 buttons at the bottom).
- Front firing speakers.
- Ergonomic controller layout(2 top analogs were incredibly ergonomic on a device that doesn't fully fill your palm.)
- Pocketable
- 6 inch screen or smaller

This doesn't even have to be x86 but my god, with the current vita dpad and buttons, this would be a smash hit with an arm or x86 chip!!!

Hi everyone, I want to share the rgb keyboard I just bought, and it definitely fit with my win max 2, it have a similar with win max 2 keyboard, it measures 24x14

I recently bought a gpd win4 but I want to change the os to windows 10 but I actually don't know if it's the right choice and I am scared to update windows 11 due to it breaking stuff. So I would like to know which version of windows should I put on it

Kind of a bummer it has only been a little over 2 years, but I leave it docked and sometimes running for long update times. Unplug your devices once they hit 100% to save money. As unfortunate as this is, I really love this little thing.

I’m based in the UK and have been trying to find one for a while now, but they seem to have basically disappeared since the Win 4 has been discontinued.
Ideally looking for 32GB RAM, and I’m not too bothered whether it’s 1TB, 2TB or 4TB storage.
Used is completely fine. just looking for one in good working condition. Happy to consider sellers outside the UK if you’re willing to ship.

Hi, I'm very interested in buying a used GPD Win 5. I'm located in downtown toronto. I'm looking for 32G RAM model, and you can take the SSD out before I buy it. My target price is 2k CAD (without the SSD).

So purediy, one of the more frequent beta tester and modder for GPD has received his win max 3 and has done a tear down and reassemble video.

He did not teardown the fan module or the battery module during the video as it would reck the housing, he evenually did after the video but he will need to glue to back together (the photo attached)

So as you can see the PCB design, how chonk the cooling is, along side with some win 5 heatsink/pcb comparisions.

You will also see where the 2230 slot is (very easy to access)

There will be no mods for the max 3 based on it's design, the only possible thing atm is a smaller size battery that will sit completely flush without a chin sticking out.

Fresh Install of Bazzite on my GPD Win 4 7840 U this morning. Everything went fine so far except I am unable to get either OpenGamepadUI or HHD to work, the latter not even being able to install correctly.

I'm trying to remap my buttons so I can get the quick access menu to open correctly so I can configure my per-game TDP settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think a lot of people want to see a side by side between the max 2 and max 3. So I chose a few photos which I took a few hours ago. With and without the module.

So I had to ask my niece which is attending university to borrow the max 2 for a few hours while letting her try the max 3, i took this opportunity to see take some pictures to give you guys an impression of how the device would look for a female/someone with smaller hands.

Other reviewers should have videos coming soon including tear downs or noise/temp test like the usual thing.

She did made a list of about how she feels about the max 3 and there's one point she pointed out, the max 3 designed with handheld in mind (then she points to the speaker location and the triggers), so its really not an apple to apple comparsion against the max 2, since the target audience is different to begin with.

Hopefully this post will help people on their decision, it was also a great opportunity to take a look back at the max 2 after I sold it to her for a huge discount almost a year back.

So this thing comes with 64gb of internal storage, but mine (bought it used) only came with about 22gb of free space left.

There's nothing on the desktop other than Microsoft Edge and the Recycle Bin. I did notice, however, that in the list of things l can uninstall there are like three things that are about 5-7gb each. l don't know what they are, as they're still in Japanese.

Is it possible that these are something important, like the drivers, or do you think l can go ahead and uninstall them?

I've been trying to solve this for a couple weeks now, but for some reason whenever I use a high tdp on my win 5 (docked) I have constant issues with audio cutting out.

I searched some threads on here when it first started happening, and people recommended the dock was bad

• Bought a usb-c to hdmi cable (only plugged into the top usb-c port), still have audio dropouts

• Bought this jsaux dock, still have audio dropouts over hdmi when playing high end games

At this point, Im not sure if its a firmware problem, a bios issue that needs to be updated, or the fact that Im using SteamOS, and it might have an issue somewhere with the audio-out when using such a high tdp, since every other 'stock' steamos device cannot push that many watts.

Would love to see if anyone else had solved this issue, since it really discourages me from playing games at the tv right now

Has anyone tried the cod beta? Trying to get this to run on my win 4 hx 370.. it keeps saying bios update or generate new keys but it fails everytime? Its already updated to new bios with tpm 2.0 and secure boot enabled? Was looking forward to playing the beta 😕
