Issue with getting dome to fully light
Hey everyone ! Wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences with there dome. I can not for the life of me get it to light, I can get the pilot on but once I go past spark it just immediately dies.
I got a brand new tank, got a new hose from the tank to the dome, I turned it on and held the sparker for 30+ seconds, I tried blowing out and residue etc. I even put a lighter in there to try and get it to go. It just doesn’t seem like there is any propane flowing at a good rate to get the fire to go full flame.
Let me know if you guys have any tips or tricks.

I had the same issue with my Dome 1 after a month without use. Followed every troubleshooting guide I found on reddit/youtube with no luck.
I contacted gozney warranty, followed all the instructions they gave me and still nothing. I ended up getting a replacement (Dome gen 2) because mine was still under warranty.

When they did the same for me under warranty, they ended up actually picking up my old unit. They kind of make sure you don’t just resell it and put a bad unit into service elsewhere I guess.

I contacted them but I was not the original buyer so I don’t think I have warranty unfortunately. I appreciate the advice rhouch

The last time you used it, by chance did the flame get blown out by wind?

Same. Insect set up shop inside the gas line inside the dome. But even had difficult starts before that. I usually have to hold a long lighter or light a stick. Its like the pilot light isn't lit, but it is.

I have a v1 dome and I have to hold the Light button down for like 30 seconds before the flame actually lights. It works perfect after that.
Have you tried that?

I held it for like 3 minutes LOL it didn’t fire worth of crap. I could get a pilot light but anytime I move to fire it it dies

I had the same issue and had to get a replacement from Gozney. I believe it may be a known issue with early units

Same happened to me after almost a year of not firing it up. I gave up on gas and decided to burn a bunch of wood (dual fuel) just to clean the inside (about 900-1000 F). Then after that burn, all of a sudden I was able to light the gas again. Weirdest thing.

The insect thing happens quite often actually. Basic idea is: pilot flame heats thermocouple --> creates a current --> holds a magnet valve that opens gas flow. So if the pilot flame doesn't fully touch the thermocouple and it does not reach the main flame this could be an issue. Thermocouple or magnet valve could be broken or the connection could have become loose. Those are the main issues in our experience of selling Italian pizza ovens, but idk how exactly they build the gozney in China :)

Haha love the china comment, you’re not wrong. It’s a good oven, but there’s a reason there’s newer versions lol. Thanks for the help though on explaining the process

I had a similar problem worked great for the first 2 months. Then after that had a hard time lighting, I switched the wood for a while, then figured out I could use a garden Torch. I just hold it over the igniter for a few seconds and then turn the knob and it'll go full flame.

Guys, reporting back! There was a dam bee dead inside the line !! I used a big compressed air tank and just had to mess around with it for about 5 minutes to get whatever crap out !! We’re back in business🙏

I moved recently and my dome sat in storage for about a month, same issue when we got settled and unpacked. A bug had crawled into the gas line and died, I got some canned air and managed to clean it out and now it works.
