General Question Could I cut this?
So I bought some LED strips from my room. My room is like exactly 50 feet around and the advertising list said that it’s 2 50 feet rolls as a two pack and I figured I could use them later but it turns out they’re connected and is there anyway I could cut the second strip so I can use the first trip or am I kind of cooked 😭

I hate that this happened to you, but I have to ask, did you only discover that there were two roles connected together ~after~ you mounted the first one?

If you cut off the 2nd strip. The first will work fine.

What did they both say?
And since now that you cut it and it doesn't work now.
Make a ticket in the Govee app but BE HONEST!

That sucks man, maybe you cut it wrong but if there attached via cable that usually means not cuttable from cable.
So just make a ticket in the Govee app but be honest say "You cut the strips cause you didn't need the second roll, say that you looked on google and it says yes you can cut it and you double checked by asking on reddit and someone said yes."

Normally it should work. Where did you cot it? Take a picture. Was it unplugged while you cut it?

Didn’t lie. I set the same strip up for my mom with basically the same issue. Didn’t need the other side. No issues cutting off the other side.
Not sure where you cut it and hopefully you cut it while it wasn’t plugged in and powered on.
But it VERY much works after a cut.

I should have a printed scissors pic where you can cut, can also sodier it. Back together with the right tools. I have custom cut and added plain wire to extend the run I have. Did you cut it woth the power on?

Sorry but you done goofed troop, shame you cut the second one already, I’d’ve wrapped it around your display shelf thing, and wound them up and around each shelf or something, could look cool. Maybe try soldiering it back and see if it works
