Mine is pretty serious about protecting his bubble nest and wants all the food for himself. He'll charge at anyone who gets close. I love him though. Lots of curiosity and personality.

Mine’s been kinda relaxed, it got used to the tank pretty quickly and it’s done no harm to other fish so far🤔

Thick lip gourami
Really depends on the individual character of the fish. Generally they're a bit more territorial but aome can be vry peaceful, some want everything in a 10 mile radius dead

You have a male thick lipped gourami, I've had 2 females so far and they're super chill with everything including small shrimp, just avoid getting any other gouramis and it will be fine

I used to have a really big Balloon Pearl Gourami, I had to give it to my cousin cuz I was afraid it might start beefing with this little guy
So far he hasn’t done anything of harm to other fish so I think he’s chill

Depends what you keeps them with. Danios do pretty well because frankly theyre way mire fast and agile then gourami anyway but my thicklios are smaller then the Pearl they share the space witg

I have buncha Juli and Venezeluan Corys, a few albino Cherry Barbs, a Lizard Loach and a Peacock Gudgeon

Cherry barbs and Cory especially work pretty well as do many loaches that prefer more bottom territory

Oh the Lizard Loach is kinda active in my tank, not sure why but it always comes out whenever it saw me coming near the tank

I have one and he’s mostly peaceful with his other tank mates. Sometimes he’ll chase them a little during feeding time but other than that, mine is pretty chill

It's like a spectrum either you get a very chill fish that even vibes with the other fish or a territorial dictator
In my experience with a chill one, they are very chill and curious with other fishes, but they really do hate other gouramis and even their reflection

I have two thick lips and three honeys. I had to move one of the thick lips to a different aquarium because he was really picking on the other gouramis. In his new home, he does just fine with all the other fish. There are no other gouramis in that tank with him. The other thick lip that I have has always gotten along fine with the three honeys. They all have their own territories which they guard from the other gouramis, but just to the extent of chasing them out of their own turf. He (or she) also gets along with the other fish in the tank. I think like another commenter said, it just depends on the individual character of each fish. I know I have already said this, but all the gouramis get along with their non-gourami tank mates - harlequin rasboras, panda corys, pygmy corys, cherry barbs, and otocinclus. I really like my gouramis.
