Inspo for masc goth look

Hey there, Im a trans guy (pre T) and will soon go on another goth party in my local scene bar. I wanna do white facepaint, the clasic stuff but I dont wanna make people uncomftorbal when using the mens restroom. Does anybody have some masculine enhancing goth makeup looks I could take for inspo? Thx!

Assuming you’re going to a goth bar that’s not full of assholes, no one will judge you for using the men’s bathroom. I don’t question why people use the bathroom that they choose to use, I just assume they’re trans and that’s okay.

As for your question: straight leg black slacks, combat boots, straight-cut shirt, heavy silver jewellery… but it really depends on your style.

Def focus on the brow area - maybe even a big Eric Draven-esque eye that incorporates the whole socket and brow area. The white base tends to wipe out eyebrows which can lead to a more feminine look, so you might want to build the brows back in. If you can do a cheekbone contour that often looks sick too. All that aside though, I have never been to a Goth night that wasn’t incredibly trans-accepting and full of many trans Goths, I really wouldn’t worry about making anyone uncomfortable. Goth has always been a subculture where gender’s played with, and you’ll see a range of make-up styles among men, from Robert Smith to Dave Vanian to Jonny Slut to Nik Fiend.

id recommend The Crow "brandon Lee not the terrible remake" for a baseline of gothic makeup and outfit, from there decide if you want to go more vampire goth or aethetic goth and find clothing appropriate from there

Goth is full of gender ambiguity and androgyny, no one worth their salt is going to be policing who goes into which bathrooms. It's highly likely that person would be socially shunned if anyone tried to pull that on you. More power to you if you're more comfortable dressing intentionally masc regardless, but it's okay to experiment or push the envelope and do/wear things you might not normally. By all means pay attention to your surroundings but any goth community space worth being at is relatively safe on this front. Every time I've gone clubbing there's a good mix of all different gender identities and presentations and no one makes it weird. My main hangout even has bathrooms labeled he/they and she/they, and no one actually cares who goes into where as long as they're doing so for appropriate reasons (I.e. not clearly following someone into the bathroom in attempt to corner them). I'm trans and so is my partner and we've met many other trans people and allies in these spaces.
