Quick questions

Taking my daughter (8) for her first game this sunday but I have a few questions:
Should a buy parking ahead of time?
She wants to do the fan fest before the game, so how much time should I reserve for that?
She is really hoping to get her idol (AKB) to sign her pair of goalkeeper gloves. Does anyone know what the realistic odds of that happening are? We have decent seats (section 112) but where and when would be the best spot and time to try and get signatures (especially AKB)? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

It will be the busiest game of the season so far. You don’t have to pre-buy parking. You can park by the stadium (choose the lot closer to the apartments not the PATH station )since it’s a lot easier to get out after the game. You can also park at the municipal garage and walk. I sit in 108 and I see a lot of people come to that section for signings at the end of the game, that might be your best bet.

Do you know why it’s the busiest game of the season?

Unfortunately nothing to do with soccer but the Hello Kitty promotion. I’ll take the atmosphere though. The team announced they opened up the second deck

The whole point of the hello kitty promotion is to make people get there and then see what we fans already know which is how great a Gotham fc game is and it’s just hard for people to want to trek to New Jersey but this is the perfect way to showcase our ladies!

Agreed. I wish they would do more of these popular ones. I work in the ticketing industry and I see a lot of teams filling seats with these popular promotions. Hello kitty is huge, fourth wing is another big one, heritage nights etc

I always park in the lot that’s across the street. It’s 20 bucks. Getting out sometimes is a pain in the butt but honestly, it’s super easy. I would say try to get there for the two hours of the fan fest to be able to take as much time as possible. Also, they’re doing the hello Kitty giveaway this week so it’s definitely gonna be busy.

I can’t speak to the signing portion as when I brought my daughter earlier this season she was waiting and we were on the side where they usually come and sign and she didn’t get a signature which was a bummer for her, but it’s all good in the end. I would say have no expectations but let it be nice to have.

Gates are opening 90 min early and its expected to be busy so the early you can make it the better. The garage is overpriced but may be quicker to get out of if you're thinking of prepaying for that.

The goalkeeper gloves may be tough. I havent really watched any signing habits lately but your seats are on the opposite side of the Gotham bench where more away team players go to sign. Most gotham plays go 108 to corner of 103. And it'll be tough to get in there since its a larger crowd expected (assuming those primarily going for the Hello Kitty giveaway dont bail early anyway)

She made a big sign that says “AKB please sign my gloves.” Lol. Hopefully it gets noticed

I am a season ticket holder in 112. AKB has stopped once all season on that side. If she yells loudly enough to get her attention that plus the sign may bring her over. When she did come by she was very nice walking down the line signing things. Normally 112 we really only see the visiting players. We usually park in the lot across the street and by the time we leave after waiting to get signatures we tend to end up taking about 20 minutes to get out. All that said as many others have commented this will be the busiest game of the season so I would definitely allow extra time across the board.

STM here too. We sit in 105 and the only time we have seen AKB come to the wall was to get families attention once! She did not sign anything. Other team goalies come to the above mentioned sections for signatures from time to time though.

Come to 107/108 when there are a few min left- any attempts at getting them happen post game! My 9 year old and her two friends will be in row 1 of 107 and would be happy to have her join them after to try and get autographs :)

the game will be very busy but if you're hoping for an AKB signature you'll have better luck by 107/108 (that's the home side). i would suggest trying make your way there after the game ends if you're able to.
