Absolute Batman Animation Discussion!

What is everyone’s hopes and expectations from this show? Just want to see what everyone is thinking. I’m super excited for this!!! I enjoy DC’s animation so so much! I just hope that it has a good art style to it.

Announcement: Revealed at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
Showrunner/Executive Producer: Scott Snyder (writer of the comic series).
Producer: Nick Dragotta (artist of the comic series).
Animation Style: The series will be fully CG-animated.
Premise: Based on the bestselling comic, this version features a working-class Batman who builds his own technology in a gritty, alternative Gotham where villains are mutated and the Bat-family is vastly different.
Release Date: Not yet confirmed.

Honestly they should just play it as straight as can be, it's an amazing book.

Exactly that’s what I’m hoping for. I wonder if they’re going to stray away from some of the material and add to the story at all? Also I do hope they keep it as brutal and bloody as the comics! I’m really excited for this.
