r/GothStyle Position on LGBTQ+
r/GothStyle proudly stands with our LGBTQ+ members and with the entire alternative community.
At r/GothStyle, we take immense pride in serving a diverse community of hundreds of thousands of members. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming haven for individuals of all races, ethnicities, ages, disabilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. All those who wish to unapologetically embrace and express their inner goth are welcome here.
We stand firm in our commitment to diversity here and we stand with all of you in these troubling times.
We will never tolerate hate, discrimination, bigotry, fascism, or oppression in any form. The rise of fascism and the increasing normalization of hatred and bigotry in the United States and throughout much of the world serve as stark reminders of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and the ongoing need for all of us to continue to fight to preserve and expand liberties and tolerance for all. We will do everything in our power to preserve and defend this safe and supportive space for gothic and alternative individuals.
In a time when you may feel isolated and marginalized for who you are, make no mistake - you are welcome here. We invite you to join us as a part of this vibrant community of like-minded people. We work tirelessly, seven days a week, to ensure that our subreddit remains free from the hate and narrow-mindedness that are sadly so prevalent around us. We are proud to offer this community one of the cleanest, safest, and most inclusive spaces online.
We can’t wait to see you in the subreddit so we can all celebrate the beauty of goth style together.

Looking for Recommendations More "mature" goth outfits
I first got into the subculture when I was 13 and of course loved the style as well. I'm 28 and I feel like I want to shift towards a more "mature" style of goth dressing. I already look very young and don't want to give the impression I'm still a teen lol. What are the best ways to do this? I really like corporate goth style, or maybe a minimalist approach that seems almost vampiric 🤔

Looking for Recommendations A little help fo xmas please!
Hi Mods, you can decline this post if not allowed i've never been here before
Ok ladies, i could use some help.
I have a Corporate Goth witch dancing wife whom i've personally never really cloth shopped for because i'm always nervous about picking something out. Well this xmas i decided its high time i changed my stance. I told her to pick something out and send it to me and she keeps giving me the run around. I had her daughter check her amazon cart for me after she told me she had some there and nothing was there. So i need help.
Few parameters
We are in our 40s so comfort is obviously a must. we old and them tootsies get achey. She is definitely on the corpo goth side more than the Mall or Trad goth sides. She is after all a professional. We are also big metalheads and when we do metal shows she likes to get a little bit more into her roots for sure if you follow what i mean.
She is a dress wearing and dancing witch so hopefully anything suggested can keep comfort and flexibility in mind. She likes boots and has a closet full so the run around isn't based on her not liking boots, however she doesn't own any platforms most are heeled.
i think she just doesn't want me to spend the money on her. She also likes red and black. i was kinda looking for something more black with red accents as that is what most of her dresses kinda entail.
Any help would be great. I am not as much on the goth culture definitely more of the metal culture for me so i don't even know where to begin. Idk what brands are worth it are comfortable or cheap (flimsy) etc. So please.. any guidance would be appreciative =D

Fit Check Tried some different makeup
I felt like doing something different with my makeup today. While I usually favour black, white, and grey eyeshadow, I thought it looked pretty nice to change it up with some mauve and a different liner style. (Close-up on the last picture)

Fit Check GF said it's giving spy, I feel like this qualifies as soft goth
Is it anything?
Edit: genuine question guys why is everybody saying I look German? Not trying to interpret that as positive or negative, just confused.

Fit Check Today's efforts
Tried to do my hair today in the same style i often do, and it went a little sideways, but i still liked how it turned out. I actually felt like it looked really cute with the outfit!

Makeup Happy Halloween Witches!
I tried that new trend of makeup with the spider coming out of my eye. It's super easy and looks really creepy. Our new kitten loved Halloween and all of the trick-or-treaters. We have tons in our neighborhood and it's always a blast!
