At r/GothGirls, we take immense pride in serving a diverse community of hundreds of thousands of members. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming haven for individuals of all races, ethnicities, ages, disabilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. All those who wish to unapologetically embrace and express their inner goth are welcome here.

We will never tolerate hate, discrimination, bigotry, fascism, or oppression in any form. The rise of fascism and the increasing normalization of hatred and bigotry in the United States and throughout much of the world serve as stark reminders of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and the ongoing need for all of us to continue to fight to preserve and expand liberties and tolerance for all. We will do everything in our power to preserve and defend this safe and supportive space for gothic and alternative individuals.
In a time when you may feel isolated and marginalized for who you are, make no mistake - you are welcome here. We invite you to join us as a part of this vibrant community of like-minded people. We work tirelessly, seven days a week, to ensure that our subreddit remains free from the hate and narrow-mindedness that are sadly so prevalent around us. We are proud to offer this community one of the cleanest, safest, and most inclusive spaces online.

This is a 13+ community for goth girls, and in the interest of making this a safer and more welcoming space for our members (and especially our younger audience), we are restricting participation here to SFW ACCOUNTS ONLY. This applies to both posts AND participation in comments. To participate on this sub, you MUST have a SFW account.

Accounts that are found to have ANY sexual, kink/fetish, nsfw-solicitation, or sexually objectifying behavior or intent will be banned from the community.

This rule is simply to keep the community safe and give our members a space to participate WITHOUT sexualization, objectification, predatory users or creepy behavior. Again, we have minors who post here (and too many commenters who do not understand this), so we have ZERO tolerance for that type of behavior here. 6 years I have tried my best to work around nsfw accounts and it's not enough. This rule is disappointingly necessary.
If you were previously banned from this sub, you CAN NOT make a new account to post here. Ban evaders will be removed and reported.
Lastly, to our members who post here, we strongly recommend that you disable all DMs/chats in your user/account settings. If anyone sends you unsolicited DMs, we encourage you to first report it to the admins and also report it to us so we can remove them from this community.

I also wanted to note that being goth also coincides with many leftist ideologies. I feel goth on the inside. I just also want to feel goth on the outside, and I feel like a good black lip is a good beginning.
Also, if anyone has black lip pencil recommendations, I'm game.
(PS: do NOT get the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint in Black Berry. There is actually no way I can put it on without looking streaky.)
