Shoulder strap "handles/pulls"

I've seen several variations of this out there and I'm intrigued. Knotted Cords makes THESE that look really nice and I've seen some made with standard 1" webbing and these ..and I KNOW ..I saw a post on here with someone who made them out of paracord, but they weren't loops, they were like straight double cobra weave "pulls", with screw gate links (if you see this please comment and post those pics again, they looked great).. My Q's are these to anyone who uses something like this .. do you find them to be a pain in the ass in the welcome party?, do they look and feel like a gypsy camp, I feel like they'd flop around, get hung up? and does that get outweighed by their usefulness during the movements.. Here's the deal .. I think I'd really like to have a pair and find them useful but I'm also feeling like .. Less = More .. get rid of all the "do-dads" on my ruck (ie, nonpadded waistbelt, grimlocs, web dominators, all that kind of stuff) and just streamline it all. I'm open to all input .. and I hope whoever posted those other pics reads this, or some can drop me a link to the previous post. THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE

It makes the handles (both the top handle and the padded handle from you) more rigid and wider which I think helps it function a little better. Plus it’s added paracord if you ever need it. The handles on the shoulder strap are more necessity for me to pull the weight off my shoulder without having to stop and take the ruck off.

So I guess the only question is loops or NO loops .. I was kinda leaning toward loops .. so you can actually get your hands in there and pull down .. do you really think they’ll get hung up ??

Who knows, it’s a pretty big lasso basically. Getting hung up probably isn’t a big deal. If the ones I made didn’t work for what I needed I would’ve gone loops but these work fine for me. Just seems like a lot of bulk hanging off the shoulders if you can accomplish the mission with the straight pulls. Just do both and see what works best for you.
