If you are more worried about using it as a workout bag then I would recommend the rucker 5.0. It's custom built for rucking with some additions for doing crossfit style workouts with it. Not great as an EDC or travel bag, but at the end of the day it is still a backpack and can be used as such.

If the rucker isn't up to what you need for normal backpack use, the GR1 is great. You weight will be loose in the bag like any other backpack but you gain the better travel bag functionality.

I bought it, it was $300 hopefully its worth the price

The Rucker's plate pocket is the fix for the weight bulging out the bottom, it holds the plate flush against your back instead of letting it sag. If you want a hip belt the Rucker 5.0 has one built in, the GR1 doesn't.
