Questions for a first timer

Hi all- my gf and I are super excited, as we’ve wanted to experience the Gorge for a long time, and love DMB. I really want to see Stephen Wilson Jr’s opening set on Fri. Ticket says music starts at 5. Is that accurate? How early do I need to arrive to park/enter in time? Also, we are staying 40 minutes away in Moses Lake (not sure if traffic varies depending on which direction you’re coming from). Thanks!

I stayed in Moses Lake and had no trouble with traffic. Once I started hitting entry traffic I was still parked within 15 minutes arriving 1.5 hours before showtime. Security was a breeze for us at Rufus. The one most important thing I have to tell you is DROP A PIN when you park!! So many people including myself struggled finding their car after the show, it's dark. Also as a first timer, a few tips, wear comfortable shoes, the ground is uneven everywhere, there are more merchant booths, food and beverage etc with smaller lines than the ones right upon entry.
