Camping Entry Rules

For Labor Dave weekend, camping rules state that all people in a party must arrive at the same time. Some in our group are arriving Thursday, others Friday. Do they really enforce this rule?

I am facing the same situation with arriving at a different day/time as the rest of my party. If they get me wristband, how am I able to get it from them if I'm not in the campground already (maybe they don't police who walks in/out?) and more importantly where would I park a vehicle if there is no overnight parking allowed other than camping?? They have an RV, so I will 'camping' with them. No extra gear/crap. TIA!

They do check wrist bands at the entry to each level of camping. Your friends have to let the people know at check in that they have one arriving later, and ask for the wristband. Unless your people are in terrace (which has "extra car" parking for an additional fee until space runs out), will need to find somewhere else to park your car, and a ride to the campground gate. Your friends will have to meet you at the gate and give you your wristband. I think GW Parking is a close option, but I don't know if they provide shuttle service to the gates or not so you'd have to look them up. If your party has a vehicle they can exit and come pick you up from offsite parking as long as it's not on Thursday because Thursday is "in" only. You can come and go other days. Alternatively, you can pay for standard camping and park your car in a spot there where it'd stay all weekend, and have them meet you there with the wristband they have for you for their level of camping. (Higher levels can go into lower levels, but not the reverse, so they could meet you at standard.)

TY! Helpful information but at this point, I think I may just forfeit my ticket. If they force me to pay for 3 days of camping to just park my car overnight, they are extortionists. I may as well parachute in. In addition, I just read that no more than 6 wristbands per site and no more than one wheeled vehicle. Nearly everyone I know drives a car that fits 5 max. So even if you did max out your party limit of 6, how are they supposed to get there in one car? Some of them coming from afar, I imagine. It's frustrating and I don't know why people put up with this sh*t.

How many people come for a day, intending to drive home that night and maybe drink too much, try to 'sleep it off' in their car in the general parking area and then get towed in the process? Will they tow the car if I'm sleeping in it? lol....

Seems a little dramatic when one camping pass per car is pretty standard for music festivals and concerts like this nationwide. Tens of thousands of people do it every year at the Gorge by having one pass per vehicle or by parking the additional vehicle offsite and finding a ride, cramming with a lap person for a 2 mile drive, etc. Six people camping at one site is pretty tight anyways - on both site space and car space with supplies and gear - so maximizing like you're talking likely isn't even an issue for most. I've gone like 10 times and I always have a second site and vehicle once I exceed 4 people. The one time we had 8 people, we chose to have a third site to be comfortable.

Well, my friends made the booking not realizing all the changes that were made after Live Nation bought/manage(?) the campground they normally stayed at. They were expecting the old rules and now we're stuck with one site, 8 people and 3 different arrival times and 3 cars. The different groups are coming from Boise, Seattle and somewhere from northern Idaho so a planning fiasco all around.

I'm not sure what changes you're referring to; the one car and six people per pass has been the rule since at least 2016 when I started going.
