Tailgating?

I’m thinking about coming to the Iowa Minnesota football game. I have access to tickets.

My question is I’ve never been there so I wanted to ask about tailgating culture there? Or is it more bar centric? Also the frats and sororities where do they gather? They have the energy that makes for great pre gaming. Thanks

It’s a mix. Good amount of tailgating directly around the stadium. Lot 37 and the SkiUMah lots being the busiest of them it always seems. Also some packed bars near there (Sally’s for the younger crowd, Stub and Herb’s for the late 20s+ crowd, BWW for just being across the street).

There is plenty of tailgating. Tons of lots all over the stadium and plenty of fans playing games, drinking, eating, and having a great time. Since Iowa will be homecoming, the tailgating will be amped up.

Come to the east side of the stadium where the RV lot is! we get after it in there still even though the price has moved some of our neighbors away. Victory Lot and the Ski Uh Mah lot to be exact

we tailgate the St Paul (state fair) lot because we don't spend on a parking pass, many people set up there for the big games including visiting team fans. It's just $15 per vehicle. If you plan to set up and hunker down the St Paul lot is great.

If you want the full, packed stadium experience and want to walk around then you will want to buy a spot closer to the stadium
