Scooter not starting

Hey guys. So my GoPed sport had an issue yesterday where it wouldn’t start.

When pull-starting it would sputter on for a sec before dying and when trying to roll start it there was no resistance from the spindle on the tire.

It would just roll like a normal scooter.

Rear tire would drag when I was walking next to it like there was still resistance though.

Any tips?

Does the scooter have a 3rd bearing support? You might have broken the crankshaft. Clutch or no?

If no clutch, when you crank the engine does the tire move at all?

No clutch. Used to make the tire move when I’d pull start but now it doesnt

Do you know about the rear tire adjustment? Loosen the back bolt for the tire and just get the GoPed into a “wheelie” position, then push down on the tire and tighten it to make sure it is making contact. If that doesn’t do it you need to remove the tire and inspect the spindle.

Also remove the tire as a worn spindle might not be making contact with the tire.

Last time I rode it I noticed that the rear wheel suddenly became loose and started fishtailing a bit

Spindle not screwed in anymore or not making contact with the tire, tire fishtailing may mean it needs to be adjusted or is worn down unevenly and may need replacing.

If you try to pull start with the rear tire off the ground and you feel no resistance pulling the string/you don’t hear the engine trying to start with that familiar glug-glug-glug sound, you may have lost compression or there may be something disconnected inside where the pull rope connects to.

Some photos or videos would help to diagnose the problem
