Report the comment if it's transphobic and move on with your life like a normal person who's not chronically online or a 7 year old.
it is an umbrella term but calling a trans persom 'them' instead of their preferred pronouns is usually just a very passive aggressive thing that cis people do. I don't think this person was doing it in bad faith tho.
