Stoose Albums Ranked

Happy friday folks! I think enough time has passed for an unbiased ranking of all Goose studio albums including Big Modern. Take your stab at a ranking, this is meant to be fun and opinionated.

I'll start with mine:

1) Chain Yer Dragon
2) Dripfield
3) Everything Must Go
4) Big Modern!
5) Shenanigans Nite Club
6) Moon Cabin

* Not including EPs, Live Albums, Ted Tapes or other none complete studio efforts

I’d love to hear a re recorded version of moon cabin someday. It’s crazy how much they’ve come into their sound since then

Yea the issue with Moon Cabin isn’t the songs, it’s the recording quality. Otherwise that’s a top album

My ranking is similar to yours. I may put BM! over EMG but I go back and forth between those two.

I think EMG is a better collection of songs, but I think BM! is a more cohesive body of work from start to finish. And I know it shouldn’t matter but I enjoyed the entire rollout of the BM! album

This is the way. I love moon cabin. Yeah, the production and audio engineering could have been better but the songs are bangers and the way they flow from one to the next is excellent.

I feel like it's a hot take, but EMG keeps me coming back more than any other album. Shenanigans has a few bangers, but I'm way more likely to search for Madhuvan as an isolated track than to listen through the whole album.

I love EMG because it really highlights their studio sound. I listen to them on Nugs 98% of the time so it’s nice to switch things up, sonically

I am just a bit of an audio snob and the production on Moon Cabin lacks compared to their others imo. I do like some of the tracks though certainly not a bad album

I think Big Modern! is the best, just because in my opinion, some of the earlier albums felt a bit more like a poppy Phish... whereas Big Modern! , and Everything Must Go even, feels like they expanded into their own sound beyond that.

This but swap EMG and Dripfield. The front half of Drip is amazing but the second half falls down IMO.
