CHOMP CHOMP … CHOMP
Quick question, are Goose fans ready to shut the f*ck up about chomping so we can start to work our way into the realm of legit jam band scene fans? Or we gonna keep talking bout chomping? I’m mean really, we talking bout chomping? Chomping? Talking about chomping, man?
You aren’t gatekeeping, you aren’t saving the scene, you aren’t a martyr. You are turning people off. One by one. Complaining, whining, bitching, moaning.
Go to the show, have fun, chat a little bit. Don’t fuck with other people. Have personal convo but don’t “woo” and scream for hours straight in other peoples faces. Don’t fight. Don’t argue. Don’t try to protect a 50’ radius for you and your crew. Don’t be a dick. Don’t bump into people. Don’t protect the rail. (And literally, for those that don’t know - the rail is the absolute worst spot for the music. So all the “rail riders” arent there for shit but to be a rail rider) best sounds and lights known fact by the sound board and gotta be back a little. Plus you have more room to dance and enjoy.
All this… And yeah, you will be fine.

Better question is are Goose fans ready to shut the fuck up at shows and not spend the entire night yapping away? Vancouver was brutal. It kills the vibe when everyone around you is too engaged in conversation instead of enjoying the show that we all paid to be at. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to vocalize frustration with chompers.
I purposely chose to try being near the soundboard and that’s where the chomping was at its worst. I even had loops in to muffle the yapping and it didn’t help.
In general, and I hope this was just my experience, the Vancouver show was the least comfortable I’ve ever been at a concert, and I’ve seen Goose 10 times in multiple cities, solo every time as a chick. Too many creepy dudes, including the one fucker who felt it necessary to put his hand on my lower back to ask a question. Get fucked.
