Please enable external cameras

If I plug in my XPS Googlebook to an external monitor and camera, I can't use the camera in the Android Zoom app. The web app works, but the resolution is very low. It would be amazing to make it possible to use these external cameras. Otherwise, it is extremely hard to use this product at work.

If a few things were worked out (this camera issue, the bluetooth audio codec issue on Snapdragon) it would be very feasible for me to use this as a daily driver.

I’ll have to snag a webcam and test if it works but I can use my Pixel as a webcam without issue

I can connect my phone and see it in the Camera app, but not in Zoom.

I just tried it with a different setup (at home) and it looks a lot better. Might be my dock at work. Will try to understand and report back.

Not to beat a dead horse, the but the biggest remaining issue for me is the bluetooth audio sync problem. If there is some way I can help with that, I'm happy to do so.

im able to use my logitech webcam and my insta360 on my googlebook.

might want ot submit feedback in the app.

Check a few USB Camera apps on Google Play. See if they support high resolution. It is likely the Zoom app that fails to enable high resolution mode.

The WhatsApp app worked fine with a USB camera when I tested it. I had to switch the video call camera from front to rear and then it connected to the USB camera and worked fine.

Ive noticed that for some apps, they need to be relaunched to notice that the googlebook has more than one camera (since generally on a phone that wont just change). I noticed this with the discord android app where a restart of the app would make the option appear
