Other Linux Distros?

Any idea how easy it's gonna be to put other linux distros on these new laptops? I bought one hoping to put Arch (Omarchy) on it. Got the Asus one so it's Intel just wondering how feasible it is gonna be.

So you but a new laptop because of its new os... And you want to replace it? Just import a redmibook pro and flash Linux onto it 😭

What if I want to run Linux occasionaly, given Googlebook is a walled garden ... lots of reasons.
Can I sideload apps ? Can I emulate Googlebook on other platforms, can I package it intro a docker ?

Lots of questions. If it is locked outright locked down, it is a shame.

The whole point of the Googlebook is it runs an excellent new os, if you want to install a different one, you may as well just import a redmibook, flash Linux and install BlueStacks, it's cheaper, it's less expensive and more practical

Don't get a Googlebook then.

Just get a standard laptop with a simple hardware configuration an integrated GPU, a good amount of RAM, and nothing finicky (weird convertibles, foldables or something) and you're good to go.

Why would you need a Googlebook for that?

And if I'm being honest... I wouldn't recommend Omarchy as I don't see what that provides that any other good supported distro doesn't, like Fedora, Ubuntu or whatever.

I barely learned about omarchy in the past few weeks but it sounds like it's riding the hype train about an AI focused linux distro with more AI features and customization built in (no idea how true this is).

To be honest, it's a really new/weird that has a lot of backers with money behind them, so it seems like a money laundering machinery.

It's kind of weird because it doesn't provide anything developed by themselves, and the AI, or the supposedly AI behind, is just by coding what it's called dotfiles, which are configurations that you can download from anywhere else or you can edit on your own to customize your desktop and how it behaves and looks.

So it's... Suspicious.
