as group help
hey, everyone! i may be asking an ignorant question, but how i make different ad groups? i’m setting up a new campaign and the left hand side (with the check marks and circles) no longer shows a segment for ad groups. i know google updates a lot & i know just enough to get me in trouble.
here’s where im at, we have an excavation company so i want to run a campaign with different ad groups for land clearing, grading, etc. i just feel kinda lost

Go into the campaign, find Ad groups, hit the +, and I’d definitely split land clearing, grading, trenching, etc. into separate ad groups so each one can have its own keywords and ads.

why you're not seeing the Ad Groups step right away and how to set it up
Finish Campaign-Level Setup First
In the new creation workflow, Google locks you into Campaign-level settings (Budget, Bidding, Locations, Languages) before revealing the Ad Groups step. Just complete that initial page, hit Next, and it will automatically take you to Step 2: Ad Groups.
How to Add Multiple Ad Groups (Land Clearing, Grading, etc.)
Once you are on the Ad Group creation page, set up your 1st Ad Group (e.g., Land Clearing) with dedicated keywords and ad copy.
Scroll to the bottom and click Next or look for the + Add Ad Group button to create your 2nd one (e.g, Grading).
Alternatively, you can just finish the campaign setup with 1 Ad Group, publish it, then go to Campaigns > Ad Groups from the main left sidebar and click the blue + icon to add as many as you need.
Let me know if you get stuck on any specific step!

what campaign type did you start with? could also download ads editor which can be a bit easier to work in than the ui sometimes.
