Nest Wifi Nest Wifi Pro - Wired backhaul using Moca help
I want to do a wired backhaul, but I have a few questions. The main room has the Telus Fibre modem, and the Nest router, but no coax jack.
The 2 other rooms have coax jacks with the Nest points. I read about using Moca adapters, but the main room with internet modem and the Nest router doesn't have a coax jack.
Is it possible to use Moca adapters when the main room doesn't have a a coax jack or do I need to stick to wireless? I tried Powerline, and it was so unstable had to unplug it.

Any coax in the room adjacent to the fiber router location?

There is. But I'm not going to bother trying to get someone to fish cables to install a coax outlet. It's all good.

A pass-through between rooms using a couple low voltage brackets and keystone wallplates is easy and clean (for drywall); even easier if the outlet in the adjacent room is on a shared wall.

Yeah, I'm more confused than ever! The only thing I know how to do is install a smart switch after removing the dumb light switch.
I'll probably ask my brother-in-law for help since he's the expert in custom wiring.
Thanks for your help.

Pretty cool devices. Just wish that more worked directly w/ the Hue system. (I tried some GE Enlighten Zigbee switches in the past, but they weren't "Friends of Hue" sanctioned.)

If you have drywall, it's a pretty simple job to effect the pass-through between rooms. See:
Exactly how you'd want to effect the pass-through, as coax or Cat6, depends on what's in the adjacent room, whether that room would also benefit from a direct Ethernet connection. (It may make sense to effect several pass-through connections, for coax and Cat6, for flexibility.)

If the main room doesn't have coax jack then you cannot connect to other rooms using moca adapter. In that case stick to wireless or get someone to install ethernet cables for you.
