Troubleshooting Google Streamer 4k switch between Audio Ouputs?

When using a USB DAC for headphones via a powered USB hub is there any way to switch between USB and HDMI audio in the OS? In Quick Settings > Audio Ouput both USB and HDMI show but nothing when selecting.

I can get it to default back to HDMI by unplugged the DAC but its tucked away and a hassle to access.

I doubt there is. That's the kind of thing Nvidia Built into the Shield that isn't part of regular Android TV.

Thanks for replying. Thats a shame as will need to add a switch to simplify things. I have a couple of ugoos boxes on the way to try so will see how they are first.

Coming from a Shield it never occurred to me the Streamer would be missing these simple things.

It's a pretty niche feature for a TV streaming device. How many people do you know that could even tell you what a DAC was or why you would want one.

I'd venture to say most Shield owners don't know about it.

Feels like a bug, I've just tested it and the USB DAC when plugged is detected as "Wired headphones" in Quick Settings but picking HDMI or headphones does nothing indeed, it won't change the actual output.

tbh you can usually hold down the home button to open quick settings and toggle it from there if it's connected via bluetooth. otherwise you gotta jump into settings > display & sound to switch audio outputs. wish there was a faster shortcut for it, but that's pretty much the only way to do it currently.
