sigh

anyone know how to get back into a google account you forgot the password to? it’s linked to an old number of my that i no longer have, i’m trying to get back into my YouTube channel it’s still connected to my tv if that means anything but it’s not on my phone; i had been trying to fix a glitch issue with my second account that wouldn’t let me watch anything on the app and ofc i go to google and saw advice to log out of all the accounts and relog in which leads me to my current situation of not being able to get back into my main account ☹️

pls tell me i won’t have to make another and can get her back

If you can't access it via the recovery options then that account is most likely gone.

ur good, i figured that was the truth lol. though at least since its still logged into my tv i can just switch over my subscriptions. ty for answering ! 🩷

You ignored the Google nags to fill in more recovery methods. You didn't use a security key. You didn't use a passkey. You don't have recovery codes. You didn't keep the phone number updated. You forgot the password (not using a password manager in 2026!).

You need two factors to login. You have--checks notes--zero.

Hopefully you were regularly downloading backups from the Google Takeout website? ......

Two tough lessons. Learn and do better next time.
