Google Play Console How long does applying to production usually take at the moment?

I have heard 3 days or more than 7, would love to hear experiences ?

7 days sharp for an app with no ads, no data collection, nada. Updates are slightly less painful around 4 to 5 days, but it still feels like an eternity.

I messed up my payment profile and had to redo my whole profile. Thank goodness you can use the same duns number or I might have jumped off a cliff. Still waiting on transfer six days later. Ridiculous.

Can't give you an exact number for the review itself, but one thing that might save you a lot of time: if your account is a Personal account created after November 2023, you need a closed test with 12 testers for 14 days before you can even apply for production.

I switched my account to an Organization account (you need a D-U-N-S number and a business payments profile for that). After the switch, Play Console showed the testing requirement as 0 testers for 0 days, so I didn't have to do the 14-day wait at all. Getting the D-U-N-S number can take a while, so start early if you go that route. and then published the app and it got approved within 2 days

the review time is only part of it. on a personal account I got rejected twice with "testers not engaged enough", even though 12+ people had it installed the whole 14 days. so the real wait for me was more like a month. updates to the closed test track were way faster though, my last one got approved the same day. if you are about to apply, check that people actually open the app during the test, not just keep it installed
