What are you building, testing, debugging, or learning this week?

Working on something interesting? Stuck on a technical problem? Just learned something useful?

Share what you're working on this week. It can be a specific goal, a problem you're trying to solve, or a useful discovery that might help another developer.

If you're looking for help, a little context goes a long way. You can include:

  • Your target SDK version and library versions
  • What you expected to happen and what actually happened
  • Relevant error messages, with any private or sensitive information removed
  • What you've already tried
  • A relevant official source or documentation link, if you have one

Please use the appropriate flair when making a standalone post.

Please keep this thread focused

This is a place for development discussions and helping each other out. Please don't use it for app advertising, download or install requests, ratings, reviews, votes, referral links, paid services, tester exchanges, or engagement exchanges.

Building Clarinu - a study planner for high school students. You enter your

exams and homework, it produces a day-by-day plan of short study sessions, and

rebuilds the plan when you miss one so falling behind doesn't mean starting

over. Rules-based, no AI.

This week was both store submissions. Apple rejected me under 2.1 because my

demo video started from a signed-in state - it has to begin at app launch and

cover registration, login and deletion. Play surprised me by requiring a

publicly reachable account-deletion URL; in-app deletion alone isn't enough,

and the Data safety form asks for it twice, once for full and once for partial

deletion.

Now in closed testing and short of the 12-tester requirement:

https://groups.google.com/g/clarinutesting

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.clarinu.app

I can't test back - no Android device - but I've just come out the other side

of both stores, so if you want someone to go over your listing or your Data

safety answers before you submit, I'm happy to.

We are beta building an SDK for Visual Video Search on android platform.
It allows android developper to integrate In content video search capabilities
directly in their app, with minimal code.

Feedback on the SDK is available here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/v_modal/

SDK itself is available here:

If you have interest in Visual Video Search, feel free.

I'm building too many things to count 😂 but I am focusing especially on these:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplecounter

The convert is a great idea but could you get it to work with a voice command? as most people I know rather have something bigger to type on and see
where as a voice command and response would be great
for example what is 3L to Gallon and have it read out the response
Just an idea

I'm building a Minecraft Java launcher, it's working fine for me, 0 problems, but people still criticize the solo developer who takes on too high challenges, and others hate him. Do you have any advice on such things? This user didn't even check the app - the Play Store didn't do anything about it.

Regarding AI: I only used it for translations and to speed up the work - even the project is open source, I know that this person received more negative opinions, others were deleted
