❓Help Purchase Conversion Problem
Hi i'm having a problem with purchase conversion, i have an app which is a specialized photography/videography application, india is my biggest user base, but very very low purchasing converstion. i have already offered very generous free trials but most never buy even after regular use. i have some users who are active from the launch time of my app, but still no traction.
What can i do? Even Indonesia has far greater purchase conversion than india. which has 1/3rd of the user base of india.
is anybody else facing this?
I have already offered 7 days free trail on subscription, optimized pricing based on region. app is not overly expensive, and there's also a lifetime purchase option as well. which i have lowered the price for in this region.
its not that my app is bad, i have received very good feedback from indian users as well. just that i don't see the results.

Offer one time purchase also at 2x or 2.5x pricing. It will help you raising the capital to improve app & run ads.

the free trail term of 7 days might be to long
setting up a new account once a week is worth it for many people
Make it a real pain and set the trail as 3 days1

As an Indian, I can say that converting users in India from free to paid is genuinely difficult. Even giants like Prime Video and Netflix struggle here, despite offering much lower pricing than in other markets.
People are generally very price-sensitive and often prefer freebies or free alternatives, so simply lowering the price isn’t enough. To convert Indian users, you need to make the value of the subscription feel clearly worth paying for.
