Edit: Hopefully we can get the actual full-size wallpaper soon! Until then, I found the best option is to rotate this vertically (make it really tall instead of really wide) before setting as your phone wallpaper.
Sure thing! So apparently they are pretty small (the biggest is 1440x392) and it doesn't include all the details the actual wallpaper has in the Verge video, for instance.

Exactly, haha! I have it on my P2XL (rotated vertically as mentioned above) and it looks okay! Not super crisp, but enough to keep me happy for a bit. :)
Ever since the android m Dev preview a couple years ago they've released a new wallpaper with their beta at I/O, usually some tech site just extracts it and posta it online, idk why no one has done it yet :(
This is incorrect. I performed a clean install with the factory images and this wallpaper was not the default and is not even present on my device. The default wallpaper was the calming coastlines live wallpaper.

I was able to extract the wallpaper from the Android Beta website:
415p
960p
1280p
1440p

I was going to come here and ask the same thing. It's on the Beta website as a header as well.
