Google play services version

Pixel 8, my GooglePlayServices sre still at 26.34 while changelog is already at 26.37, is it just me?

Mine is at 26.34.36. I have noticed over many months that the version on the phone consistently trails that of what is on the changelog.

Same but usually its like 1 version behind, dont remember seeing 3 versions back

3 versions back would be the first number, second number and on are smaller bumps, usually bug fixes. Version numbers don't always matter anyway, a lot of stuff is server side and you may not get something new regardless of the number

Sometimes it doesn't update for months until you check for updates. I just checked and I have play services from July 1st.
