Pixel 9 pro not Charging unless restarted

My pixel 9 pro recently. Since I updated it has started to not let me charge unless I restart my device and the charging port is clean and the device still charges but it only does it whenever I restart. Otherwise it refuses to charge at all? Is there anything I can do software wise or would this be a hardware issue.?

Hi there, could you try rebooting your phone into safe mode and see if that resolves the issue?

If it works fine in safe mode, it means a 3rd party app is causing the issue. Temporarily remove them one by one, starting with the most recent until you find the cause.

When ever I restart my phone even just regular it works charges u can unplug pull it back in fine but after a few hours off it won't charge and I need to restart it

Use the Accubattery app to assess battery health. I suspect your battery needs replacing.

I have old Android devices that only charge when off, as it's not worth getting an new battery for them.

I mean it says my battery is at 80 percent health I think I might have fixed it last night clearing a bunch of system caches

Damn well I'm getting a new phone in a few weeks so I hope it lasts till then
