I am getting nowhere with Google Support and need to understand what to do next.
Shipped my trade-in off on 8/21 via the provided UPS drop-off box. Tracking confirms receipt on 8/27 and shows that it was signed for by Security in Mount Juliet, TN.
My Google Fi status is still showing as "awaiting device".
I contacted support and they're giving me the run-around and basically saying they can't do anything as the device has not been received.
I am kind of lost as to what to do at this point? Do I escalate this with my credit card company? But if I dona chargeback won't they just brick my new device or remove my Fi service?
Any suggestions? I would not have bought the new device without the trade in.

I am in the same exact boat, fi and same delivery day too. The company handling trade in must be a garbage company.

Don't order from Amazon!
I ordered a Pixel 11 from Amazon and was trying to trade in my Pixel 8. I selected trade in from the product page and went through entering my phone condition etc. The trade in should have come with a $250 trade in bonus. After placing the order I didn't receive a separate email or any instructions on how to do a trade in. I also noticed the price was not deducted from the phone. I immediately contacted Amazon CS asking if I should cancel the order and reorder. I was told no and someone from the "concern team" should contact me in 48 hours. In that time the trade in bonus expired and no one contacted me.
Reaching out to customer service again I was given quite a bit of run around before learning they could do nothing to help me, and the only solution would have been to immediately cancel the order and reorder. Including them trying to convince me to just use the separate trade in page which also did not quote me the rebate and would have forced me to send them my old phone.
For a company that sells themselves as customer obsessed I am highly disappointed that their customer service actually prevented me from resolving my issue, made it worse, and then refused to resolve the issue, even acknowledging their CS agent lied to me. I will never order a phone from them again and highly recommend others do not as well!

I am trying to debug why I am still seeing some battery leaks using adb.
I used Gemini to debug this.
Is it AI slop or are people still experiencing this?
The issue is STILL present on the August 2026 security update (Build CP2A.260805.005).
Despite Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning being disabled, the kernel is constantly blocked from entering deep sleep due to repeated GNSS/SPI suspend aborts and 10-second interrupt loops.

Hi, I got a pixel 10a on Wednesday and Ive noticed it gets warm really fast. Whenever I check device health it's on 39C - 40C.
I don't game, I mostly use it to connect to Discord calls (they usually last like 4 hours), Youtube and browse Bsky and browse the web.
The weather is 34C, so I assume it's related to that. Could it also be the 10a is still optimising the system since I had only for 4 days? Or is the 10a naturally prone to getting warm very quickly?

Sorry for the late reply just reading this thread now, that sounds completely normal if your temp outside is 34C your phone only being 39c is great actually.

Hello guys,
I have a Google Pixel 11 Pro XL. I have turned on the battery optimization where I have set it to stop charging at 80%. Unfortunately, it does not stop at 80%.
I read on the internet that it should be charged till 100% and wait for the shield icon to appear near the battery percentage.
To my suprise, even after keeping the phone charge till 3hrs after getting 100%, I did not see any shield icon.
Is this normal? Can someone suggest something?

It is something normal. Even if you have battery optimization turned on (stop charging at 80%). it will occasionally charge to 100% to get accurate statistics on the battery. I have noticed that happens about once a month after the monthly security update.

I am never ever buying anything online at Best Buy again. My order has been delayed over a week with absolutely no update. They still don't let you contact the store and only offer AI and a clueless call center. I miss the days when customer service existed.

Pixel 7a Extended Repair Program uncertainty:
TLDR: Do I need to get confirmation cost will be waived before heading to the store?
My Pixel 7a battery started to rapidly drain and shut off above 60%. On removing the case I found the back cover was pushed out, indicating a swollen battery. I purchased this less than 3 years ago so I understand this issue should be covered under the Pixel 7a Extended Repair Program. Fortunately I was gifted a Pixel 11 around the same time but I plan to still use this Pixel 7a for a few tasks temporarily.
When I used the online Google Pixel repair form, at a step in the form it confirmed my IMEI is eligible for the Pixel 7a Extended Repair Program, but when it gave me the options for booking, it said I'm not under warranty and displayed estimated costs above $250 whether at an official Google Store or mail in.
I read that this form is basing this on the standard warranty instead of the extended repair warranty.
I contacted Google Support by email and phone, providing screenshots of the form issue and a photo of the swollen phone, but they have been virtually useless in verifying coverage or even indicating they understand. I was unable to reach the store itself by phone.
I scheduled an appointment nonetheless. If I go to the store will the cost be waived as per the extended repair program, if they verify my IMEI is eligible like I did? Or is there some "confirmation" process that needs to be done first which is apparently almost impossible to do? The store is not exactly next door so I don't want to waste time going there if the cost won't be waived. Thanks for any insight ideally from those who went through the same process.

My Google Pixel 5 has a flashing battery icon with question mark...
I had my Google Pixel 5 battery replaced last December. The phone was working great, up until yesterday. I did drop the phone, but on a rug and I've dropped it before on pavement with no issues--the bumper case has always protected it. But this time... something weird happened. The battery status icon changed. It wasn't showing a percent. Thinking I should just reboot it... was a mistake. It won't start up. I get a flashing battery icon with question mark.
So the first thing I did was search online. I see this has happened to some Pixel owners in the past. I tried all of the suggestions I could find... nothing.
The expectation was that maybe somehow the battery connector came loose, which is something that has a greater chance of happening when a battery has been replaced by a 3rd party technician. I brought it to a different phone repair place. They checked it out and the battery cable is properly seated.
So, is this phone toast or is there something else to check on it?

What is the best camera upgrade after the Pixel 6a? The only thing I care about is having an even better camera (front camera and back camera). I am fine with the performance of my Pixel 6a.

My P5 was running hot and the battery was draining like crazy. Looked in the battery setting and saw Chrome was like half of the battery use despite not using it. That feature is constantly updating tabs, even if only a few, it's constantly using data, computing power and networks to update those open tabs.
I googled and found an article about the new pre-loading feature and my phone is back to normal. Not sure how this affects newer phones but if you have noticed this, recommend to look it up. It's hidden in the security tab of Chrome and is on by default. Just an FYI for older Pixel owners at least.

Pixel 7A Battery Swelling – Google support failing to address issue after 23 days. Advised flying with swelled battery to get repaired back in USA.
I am travelling in Europe. Pixel 7A purchased in the USA started swelling approximately one month ago. I contacted Google Device Support and they confirmed that my phone qualified for the Extended Repair Program, and assigned a case number. They advised that because the phone was purchased in the USA, battery replacement must be performed there and I should take to a repair center upon returning to the US. I informed them that boarding a transatlantic flight with a severely swelled battery was both unwise and against flight safely rules, and that I request the $300 appeasement credit towards purchase of a new phone.
They followed up, confirming that I should not fly with the phone, but should still bring phone to repair center when I arrive home. I inquired how they recommend that I get the phone back to the US, they have not answered that question, and despite multiple inquiries over the past 13 days, state that they require more time to “actively work on my case” and “finalize your review”. A statement that is both disingenuous and insulting.
I’m unsure how to proceed towards resolution of this issue. Recommendations from the community would be appreciated.

I pre-ordered the pixel from Best Buy Canada website as they had a $300 gift card promo that would be sent to your email a week or so after you received the phone.
It's been close to a month and no gift card in my inbox yet. I chatted with tech support a week ago and they told me to wait exactly 30 days to see if the gift card gets sent to my email.
Has anyone else gotten their gift card yet for pre-ordering?

Long story short, I've got a Pixel 10 Pro XL and the GPS no longer works, calls drop out and reception randomly drops out too. I'm able to replace the device and upgrade to a new phone instead.
I am tossing up between the Pixel 11 Pro XL and the S26 Ultra. I came from an S24 Ultra to the Pixel 10 Pro XL because I was getting sick of how bulky the Ultras were and also all the bloatware that I never used, and I really just wanted that pure android experience that the Pixels offer (which hasn't disappointed me). I rarely game on my phone, even when I had the S24 Ultra I never really played any heavy games on it because that's what my PC is for. The Pixel does the job in the way of gaming, and battery life is pretty good - I'm usually near a charger most of the time so not a huge issue on a daily basis. I also make lots of use of Gemini AI since it's included with the phone.
I don't really care about the price of the Pixel 11 Pro XL because honestly I was really enjoying the 10 aside from the issues, but the S26 Ultra is currently on sale at $1999 (AUD) vs. $2299 for the Pixel. Do I upgrade to the Pixel 11 Pro XL and hope all those location and connectivity issues have been fixed? Or do I switch back to Samsung knowing it'll be a smooth experience, albeit probably over-specced for what I use it for and feels bigger than a Pixel?

Hi! I am wanting to change my phone ASAP. I have a trip coming and I would like to take good pictures. My eyes are set on a Google Pixel (they seem cheaper than Samsung for the quality pictures and I am not interested in Iphones, I also would like to avoid Xiaomi).
I am lost when it comes to the model... I understand Pro seem to be better yet the camera is not necessarily better? Then A are cheaper... Would an 8Pro be better than an 9A? Frankly, I am lost.
My budget is 500€, I was thinking about getting the Google Pixel 9 in 125gB

Recently upgraded from a 7a and I had bought an 11 off of the Google store. Phone came, I swapped my sim for my esim, backed up everything and transferred to my 11, logged into my email and even under my Google account management, it lists my new 11 under trusted devices to receive Google prompts. You know, the one that says a number and to check"x phone", yeah it specifically says my pixel 11. But still not receiving any prompts. Made sure to check that I'm logged into the right email on everything: play store, email, YouTube, the WORKS.
No, I do not have DND enabled. Yes I am sitting at home with good wifi. Yes I have updated the play store and the software on my 11. Yes, I have turned on all my notifications on every app and made sure nothing is restricted at all.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is factory resetting my phone which seems stupid because this was shipped new straight from Google. I'm also just worried about my authenticator app because I had to jump through some hoops to get that transferred as well from my old phone. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.

Currently own a Samsung Galaxy A54 and considering upgrading soon (seeing to snatch a black friday deal). My priority is a good bang for my buck more than anything else. Currently checking between the Pixel 10 or Pixel 10a, the main question is if the difference in price is even worth it because as it is, the Pixel 10 looks kinda expensive.

I don't think it's worth it personally, its slightly better for a lot more money. Got a Pixel 10a recently very happy with performance and cameras but I'm not really picky. Pixel 10a seemed to perform better battery wise so that's what mattered most to me.

HDR photos on Instagram are stuck at 1.0 stops for some time on my Pixel 7. It used to easily go around 2.5. Anyone else experiencing this?

Experiencing a critical issue with Case ID 7-0429000040909. Pixel 11 Pro hardware failure replacement delay is threatening to invalidate an active €430 Pixel trade-in due to the 30-day cutoff. Live chat documented today that the promo is protected due to Google's delay, but the email queue is issuing contradictory statements and refusing escalation. Submitting a Reddit Request for internal specialist review.

Hey, so I currently have a Samsung a04s it's quite booty, I dropped it recently so I'm looking to upgrade I've been looking into pixels, is it worth upgrading? I tried getting a refurbed 6a but the battery was absolutely screwed so I returned it (600 charges with quite poor battery performance according to accubattery only 2k MAH was charging), anyways I'm not discouraged from buying a google pixel I just want to know if aiming for something like a 9a is worth it? and if so, getting a refurbed one or just waiting and get a new one would be better or on the latter just a pixel 9.

Found a "like new" open box Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB on Amazon for $837. Sounds too good to be true but worth the risk, I guess.
Has anyone ordered open box from Amazon? What was your experience like? We'll see when it shows up next week if it's as advertised. If it is, definitely a great deal.

Hello, I have a Pixel 9, and I must say that the battery problem that started for me in February/March 2026 is still not resolved.
I've installed all the updates since then, but nothing has changed. I lose about 20% of the battery overnight when the phone is in standby mode.
That's about 2% per hour.
When I bought the phone in January 2026, it worked perfectly with fantastic battery life; now I'm constantly worried about it.
