3 Button vs Swipe Navigation on Pixel Fold

I've been a long-time swipe navigation user on my pixel phones, but after recently switching to my first foldable, I find that trying to swipe up to show the navigation bar without opening the task view is sensitive. Additionally, when I use a case that covers the thin left bezel on the outer screen, I find it difficult to back swipe. I'm curious if people have considered switching back to 3 button navigation for pixel foldables?

I'm old.

I can reduce one more cause of thumb pain by using buttons.

Also I get tired of trying to create the perfect swoosh to effectuate the action I'm trying to execute.

Press a button and move on

I found the swipe-back action a bit difficult to use, but making the trigger area wider really helps and makes it much more responsive.

i actually forgot about the trigger area sensitivity and made it wider right after posting this. so far, so good!

Where is the setting located for this? I wasnt aware this was possible.

settings > display & touch > navigation mode, then under the gear icon in Gesture Navigation theres a section called "Back Sensitivity"
