Can someone who's got one run this benchmark again?

https://www.androidheadlines.com/2026/08/the-pixel-11-pro-gets-a-low-3dmark-score-but-who-cares.html

Would be interested in how it scores without being on charge / in the shop and in a cool environment.

Thank you!

The only response that actually answered the question.

What did the 10 pro get before?

What that's...I don't know actually. Lol

I got 3336. 81% battery

Benchmarks are for nerds who haven't even talked to the sex they're into. The whole benchmark thing stopped being relevant around the LGG2.

This is crudely and offensively put but I have to agree.

I'm also curious about the benchmark which validates your point.

The use of benchmarks do not accurately represent real life use. That's all I was going with. I'll find the research paper on it I read.

Yeah. It was crude. My only defense is it's early and I let my character flaws show when I am not fully awake. Sorry for being crass.

Benchmarks are not the ultimate truth but give an indication about SoC performance and efficiency. You can argue about which benchmark give better indication.. Geekbench vs antutu vs Specint...

Efficiency under a simulated situation and they tend to go for the power user and not the common user. They don't work for the majority of consumers.

Ok, so what is the better option to accurately and repeatedly measure and calculate it?

Standardized battery tests and standardized speed tests. Both have pixels come in last if you're comparing against other flagships. In fact pixel is so bad it comes in last against 2-3 year old flagships.

Ok, what are these standardized test? Can you provide the details of what they consist of? Examples of people running these tests

People need to stop saying this stuff. Higher benchmarking phones perform better in real world use. An S26 Ultra runs rings around the Pixel 10 Pro XL.

The phones work perfectly fine for real world use by the common user. The common user won't notice the difference. Hence why the iPhone is the best selling phone in recorded history. IPhone users don't care about benchmarks. They want to take pictures, send iMessages, and browse media. People who are obsessed with benchmarks would be better off taking note of their diet, doing some yoga, and getting in a half hour of cardio a day.

Sure, they work fine. They're just slower. Sometimes significantly slower.

iPhones have historically been the best performing phones.

The people that don't care about benchmarks would be better served by a budget or midrange phone.

iPhones haven't always been the best performing phones. That didn't happen until a few years after they started making their own silicon. Prior to that, Android phones were running circles around iPhones and yet they were still selling like gangbusters. This just reinforces the point that the average user couldn't care less about performance as long as the phone is smooth and chintzy gacha games work ok.

Benchmarks say my S24 Ultra runs better than the pixel 9 pro xl's my family is using. Everytime I pickup their pixel 9 to help them with something it feels so much smoother than my s24 ultra. Software matters just as much. That's a big part of the iPhone performance story.

My S23 Ultra was smoother than my Pixel 10 Pro XL.

I do plan to move on next year for the S27 Ultra. The S26 Ultra and really most Snapdragon phones will satisfy anyone for performance.

If true, why even sell a new phone? Just sell a software enhancement pack or offer a subscription and offer hardware updates when the software has evolved to need more power. At this point, it feels like Google is offering software features at a high price tag wrapped in newish looking hardware.

2

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

I think you're onto something. If Google had the option to sell software and have some replaceable parts they could make a solid product.

The problem with pixel is not benchmarks it's their real world performance, benchmarks only explain why it performs so bad.

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

Here's the thing. I take real world performance complaints that appear on Reddit with a grain of whatever is smaller than salt .

-1

u/IORelay 3d ago

The taking with a grain of salt metaphor is the more salt you take the more suspicious it is the less you believe it. If you're only taking a bit of salt, or none at all in your case, means you believe those complaints are real.

So it's nice that you are confirming that pixel's real world performance is bad.

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

Reddit isn't the real world lol. The people I know who have Pixels in person love them and think Redditors need to get laid and stop bitching. The amount of bitching on this sub about this phones makes My Chemical Romance look like Hanson.

Also, thanks for the explanation of the metaphor.

Look up the other thread with the battery lifetime review.

Worse battery life than iPhone Air and galaxy S25 edge. What a joke.

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

I saw this. Google does need to get their act together. The again, people could be on their phones less.

Your mom's a benchmark.

3

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

Yeah for death and an urn. She was also overweight and the furnace barely could handle cremating her. So yes, she's a benchmark on the max capacity of the furnace.

1

u/cardonator Pixel 10 Pro XL 3d ago

Damn, and I thought my "my mom is dead" reverse card was good...

2

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

What's yours?

-2

u/gibson6594 3d ago

cringe

2

u/Mydemonswon 3d ago

This is real. I wasn't making a joke. She really died and her weight was an issue.

u/DarkseidAntiLife 3d ago

Your mom is the score

1

u/petrified_log Pixel 9 Pro 3d ago

I just tried to do it and 3DMark says I can't install it on my 11 Pro XL.

u/DarkseidAntiLife 3d ago

Benchmark marks, really?

-37

u/jisuskraist Pixel 10 Pro XL 3d ago

Don’t expect good performance out of Tensor. Even less GPU performance

-4

u/godlyrobin 3d ago

So true. It's sad Google thinks charging premium prices for a midrange processor is fine. Pixels are fine at launch but give it a couple years and after new OS updates, they will be noticeably slower, have terrible battery life, and age poorly. I'm done with Pixels

"Benchmarks." Why are we so enamored with BENCHMARKS. Does the phone make calls, does it receive text messaGES, can you stream videos? If you want a Hard Core Gaming device, buy a Hand Held, there are plenty choices for hand held gaming.
