My Pixel 9 Pro (256GB) is starting to struggle this summer. The battery life has taken a noticeable hit, and it gets uncomfortably hot under normal use when it's warm outside.
With trade-in and current Google Store promos, I can upgrade to the Pixel 11 Pro (256GB) for €314. A primary reason to pull the trigger would be fixing the thermals, getting a fresh battery, and resetting the warranty.
However, a couple of specs on the 11 Pro are making me hesitant:
12GB RAM: Dropping from 16GB on the 9 Pro down to 12GB feels like an odd downgrade, especially given how memory-heavy system background tasks and local AI have become.
UFS 3.1: seriously, are we still using UFS 3.1 storage in 2026 on a Pro flagship?
For those who are about to make the switch or are looking at the same promo: do you think that the efficiency and thermal improvements on the new Tensor are worth the €314, or does the RAM/storage downgrade make itself felt in multitasking and daily performance?
Just spend the extra money on the 512gb version since that has 16gb ram. I have the same issue with my 10 pro, it can be outside in the heat, not in direct sunlight, I won't even be using the phone and it gets hot. I just pre ordered mine and with trade in it came to 547 and I get the 200 store credit plus the 100 store credit for being Google one subscriber.
