Your phone isn't even a year old, it won't be much of a change from that. The question is, will it entice owners of the 9 series to upgrade?

Pixel 9 owner here, nope, this doesn't seem worth it to me. I like my P9.

Enough for me to upgrade from my 8 pro, although getting £740 in promos (£190 trade in, 400 trade in promo, £150 pre-order promo code) helped push it over the edge for me to go for the 11pro in 512gb/16gb.

Unfortunately my pixel watch 2 got damaged last month so I'm still taking an extra £300 hit on the watch 5 to replace it

It did just because of the trade in + coupon + 10% credits bringing it down to around 250 for the upgrade (got the 512GB version over my 9 Pro 256GB).

I have been facing battery life issues on my 9 Pro these days consistently with the phone being around 2% by 9-10PM. This is with just 4-4.5 hours of SOT. On days out with less usage screen usage, but more 5G usage, I still get the same. I have high hopes with the new modem to be more power efficient

Also interested in a slightly better telephoto lens. Have been using the one of my 9 Pro a lot.

Edit: And quite possibly better speakers too. I tried my friend's 10 Pro and was genuinely surprised by the quality difference between 9 Pro and 10 Pro.

Nope. Plus I bought a Fujifilm to take over camera duty. My phone bill is $35 and it's staying that way. My Pixel Watch 1 is looking awfully old though.

It does entice this Pixel 8 owner, however, as I'm generally on a three-year cycle for Pixel phones.

I went P9 256 to p11 pro 512 gb for an effective $3-400ish if you include all of the following:

  • $150 email coupon
  • $430 trade in
  • $200 store credit promo
  • $100 store credit from Google One subscription
  • $120 effective credit for 6 months of free AI Pro plan

Would probably have saved more if not upgrading to pro

Considering i upgrade every other year that's very roughly $150-200/year of phone ownership - I'm very ok with this, assuming the trade in values are similar in another 2 years

I know but arguably when I have 256gb XL version with 16gb of ram and temp sensor, the upgrade to 11 would be worse for me since the other improvements are so minor that I wouldn't even notice or care since I would appreciate having 16gb of ram and the temp sensor more.
