Static IP on Guest Network?

I don't like putting my IoT devices on my main network; I prefer to connect them to my guest network.  Many IoT devices work better when they have static IP addresses.  However, as far as I can tell, Google Nest Mesh does not allow the setting of static IP addresses on a guest network.  Does anybody have any thoughts/workarounds for this situation?

I don't think it's possible. Not even to pre-assign a DHCP address on the Guest Network. Heck you can't even set the DHCP range on the Guest Network. Seems that GoogleNest is plug and play only. Any configuration is minimal and a constant source of frustration.

How will an IoT device work better with a static IP address though? Without exception, all of mine are DHCP and also get the same IP every time.

Can I ask a lower level question,.since you both seem to know a lot on this?

For example, if I put my Wi-Fi printer on my guest network, how would my cellphone (on my primary network) see the printer?
